Beach House on the Bay
My family and a family friend stayed at the Beach House earlier this month and absolutely had a wonderful time. Great location, right on the water and the fishing was terrific. Sitting on the deck with a cup of coffee, watching the dolphin in the Bay was one our favorite times of the day. The house was very nice and very well equipped. We plan on staying here again. Great times and great memories.

Papa John
This is one of the most well equipped rentals we have ever stayed in. The view and sunsets are fabulous and everything in the home works. The internet was awesome for our phones, computer and iPads. The lighted pier was wonderful. Just a great place to visit with quick access to the Ferry and Galveston Island for shopping and sight seeing. Would definitely recommend this rental. We rent here on Bolivar often and consider this to be one we will rent again. Have booked it for a week in July, 2022!

Just what we needed!
The Pink House is fabulous! The decor, comfy beds, stocked kitchen, wrap-around porch, fishing dock, outdoor dining, tiki bar, proximity to cool restaurants, amazing views, fishing, I could go on! I could not get over the sea glass encrusted fireplace, and watching the boats go by with my cup of coffee in the morning was so peaceful. The sunset is gorgeous, and the fishing is fantastic. We even saw dolphins swim by! The beach is moments away, and if you like to go shelling, you are in heaven. We found so many entire conch shells we left many behind, and I found two shark teeth (google how to find them!). We will definitely be back. Thank you so much for such a terrific time. WE LOVE THE PINK HOUSE!!!

Great Place!!
I stayed here with my family, and we really enjoyed our time!! The house is super cute, and the backyard is incredible. We really enjoyed the outdoor kitchen/bar- especially because the view was amazing. 10/10 recommend staying at here, you won’t regret it!!

Fisherman’s Getaway
The house is very spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The view of the bay is spectacular! There is a lot of outdoor space to hang out, two fishing docks, cleaning station, and other great amenities that include a bar, toilet and ice machine downstairs. We had 7 in our party and stayed very comfortably. Mexican restaurant and bait shop in walking distance, ferry is just one mile away. Would go back for sure!

Unbelievable Views, Sunsets, and House
WOW is the first word that comes to mind. Our family of 6 wanted a place on the water and decided this one was great since it had docks for fishing and we could bring our boat. What we didn't expect was the jaw-dropping views! There was water as far as we could see and a beach in the front yard! During the day, there were ships to watch in the channel, dolphins to watch in the water very near the house and dock, dozens of flocks of various birds flying by, and the beach in the front yard with the waves lapping for the kids to play. When the sun set, we all were amazed at the BEAUTIFUL skyline...really just blown away with the colors and the whole scene. We quickly discovered that coffee in the morning on the back deck was the place to be, along with wine in the evening. The house is as cute as can be...the decorations were so cute, and it was very clean and comfortable with everything we needed. The tiki bar was a lot of fun...it had a great bluetooth stereo system and a TV, so we hung out a lot of the day down there. I am not a fisherman, but even I was impressed with the huge quantity and size of fish that the kids and my husband caught. They loved the night fishing at the dock with the fishlight, and they saw dolphins come by and could hear them blow their blowhole and take a breath when they surfaced by the dock! My husband used the crab traps, and we caught and ate blue crab one night for dinner. We brought our boat and used the onsite boat lift. We enjoyed going to a local restaurant by boat, and there was also another restaurant with a dock that we didn't have time to try yet. Many of the local restaurants we went to were great, but our favorite was eating at the house and just watching the views. We can't wait to come back!

This is our fourth year renting this house. We love the location, the sunsets and the fishing. This home was perfect 4 years ago. Each year we watch the property become less than what it once was. Downstairs ice maker, downstairs fridge freezer, pressure washer for boat, various lights inside and pier fishing lights don’t work. Faucets that move all over and leak, stove that wobbles, locker doors rusted and hard to open close. Master bath shower shows moisture issues and there are soft spots in the floor of the house all over. There is a property dispute and the beach no longer exists nor access to get into the water easily. Yet we will likely come back because of the location.

We were able to visit the last week of October 2024 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. They house has a perfect setting. Totally relaxing, fishing was great, weather was excellent. We hope to be able to stay again. The only thing that did not work were the night fishing lights at the end of the big pier.

Great location for a calm relaxing time. We really enjoyed watching the ships and boats go by.

Our family had such a great time at The Pink House. The fishing was great. The views were amazing. And the house was very well stocked with all you need for cooking. I am definitely booking this house again. If you are looking for a great house to have a good time then book The Pink House before someone else does.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Beach House on the Bay! The views are stunning from the interior and exterior spaces. It is SO peaceful watching the ships, barges, & boats go by, and the sunsets are incredible from the wraparound deck.

My husband and son are avid fishermen, and although the weather didn't cooperate for fishing (SUPER windy over SB, and then it got COLD), they caught a bunch of crabs in the numerous crab traps.

The home itself was very nice. The kitchen was well equipped, the beds are super comfy and the cargo elevator was a godsend.

La Playita Mexican Restaurant down the road is very good. Also enjoyed the food and views at Stingaree.

Highly recommend. We will most definitely book this property again.

If I could make one suggestion it would be to add keyless entry to the property. We came across via the ferry (which is super close to the property), but then had to drive into town to get the keys and then drive back to the property. Same deal for checkout. Inconvenient after a long day of travel (we drove in from KS).

Best view ever, which can be seen all through the house. Sunsets are amazing. Decorated very cute and had everything needed for our stay. Highly recommend this house if you want a quiet and relaxing getaway.

The location of the home is perfect as it is very close to the ferry and accessible for charter companies. Rod Bending Charters picked us up right at the boat slip and even cleaned our fish on the dock when they dropped us off. This house is a hidden gem loaded with amenities. We got to try our hand at crabbing, enjoyed the swing and hammock, the various games, the lovely breeze off of the ocean and so much more. One thing to remember is that Port Bolivar is a small, quiet community which is nice. However, because of that everything closes earlier than in Galveston. You'll want to make sure you make your dinner plans early! The check in and out process was smooth and the staff at Cobb Real Estate was very friendly and helpful. They even gave us a cool beach bag and a movie rental card that you can use to rent two movies at a time for free during your stay. The only isue we had was that the machine didn't work (or I did something wrong) when returning movies and trying to get new ones. I recommend renting during the hours Cobb is open in case you have the same issue. Otherwise everything was great and we look forward to renting here again soon!

My wife and I spend lots of time on Bolivar and this is one of the best equipped rentals we have ever stayed in. The view and sunsets are terrific. The ease of fishing is great with two lighted piers. The location away from all the hustle and bustle of normal traffic on the beach and the spacious downstairs for just relaxing. We are in our 80's and having a Cargo Lift to get all of your belongings upstairs is a wonderful benefit! Yes, you will love this place.
