Crystal Breeze
We were blessed once again with another great family vacation at Crystal Beach. This cabin is amazing, and we loved everything about it. All the bedrooms have comfortable beds and plenty of space. The kitchen is stocked with everything you could ever need and more. The location is perfect. The yard is free of stickers, which was a huge plus with our littles. And Cobb Realty was once again so great to work with. Upon arrival, the grass was a little high and I called and they immediately sent someone to mow. This beach cabin rental has it all! Keurig for coffee, cutting boards, BBQ utensils, cups, glasses and even dog bowls for vacationing pets. Beautifully decorated inside and all the extras outside - Tiki Bar, Chairs, Outdoor shower, and so much more. I want this review to be factual to hopefully help others make a more informed decision (and hopefully provide training opportunities for the Cobb staff).
The actual home was great, it was clean, everything was in working condition, it can sleep 8 ppl comfortably, and had a great view to the side of the home. The setup: 2 rooms upstairs-1 with 2 double beds, & the other w/ 2 bunk beds and they share a bathroom w shower only. Large Masters downstairs with tub/shower and view of the ocean (half bath next to it as well). Living room seats 4 comfortably (small leather couch and 2 recliner chairs), 3 bar stools on the island-but we only had 3 ppl so it was great for us. Dining room and table seats 6.
Now to the Cobb management company and their rules/regulations. We have been in property management for over a decade so believe we are qualified to talk on the subject. I have never worked with a more strict management team/co. We have stayed in tons of VRBOs & Airbnb’s in places like Key West, Sarasota, Malibu, Mustang Beach, Fredericksburg, Nashville, Newport Beach, etc. and one thing that’s important to us right now is being able to fully unwind on a trip without having to do extensive cleaning afterwards. Unfortunately, this stay came with a long list of checkout tasks, including: wash and put away all dishes, strip all beds of linens & pillow cases and put in pile by the door (along with all towels in a separate pile), empty all trashcans & take out to the curb trashcans, put all items in their original locations, empty all personal belongings, turn off all lights, lamps, fans, shut all blinds. Some of these items we understand, but some of these we found excessive, for example, emptying the dishwasher (not just running it) and bring all the trash from upstairs (and downstairs) bagged and to the curb. A positive, checkout is at 2 pm which gives you time to do all of this.
